Forthcoming Trip to The Dutch Hamfest

A trip is being organised to the 37th annual Dutch National Radio Flea market, in the “Autotron” in Rosmalen, Holland. This is one of Europe’s premier National Hamfests with some 320 stands (approx 20 times the size of our own Llandudno Rally!).  The event takes place on Saturday 10th March 2012, we will travel on the Friday and return on Sunday.  The organisers scrutinise traders thoroughly and only radio related material is allowed (no toilet rolls or fairy liquid!). Full details of the rally can be found by clicking here.

The trip is by road to Hull, ferry to Rotterdam and then road once again to Rosmalen. The trip is based on 4 people sharing a vehicle, the outward and return ferry crossings are overnight and include sleeping accommodation. We leave Colwyn Bay around 3pm Friday and return home around 11am Sunday.

The cost of the trip is £75 per person for the return journey which includes fuel, ferry and accommodation. This price assumes one of the 4 passengers using their own car, otherwise car hire for the trip would cost approximately a further £30 each. Entrance to the Hamfest is 7 Euro in advance or 8 Euro on the day. Dont forget your beer tokens!
