After much discussion, lasting several weeks, we decided on an antenna for the Blind Vets UK Radio Room. The HyEndFed 8 Band is what we have sent for, initially from club funds. Two radios at the club this evening, Vince trying the new aerial arrangement through the window on his Yaesu FT857, and Radek doing his practical work for the Foundation licence on a Yaesu FT1200.
Our meeting room hosts, Blind Veterans UK, provided wonderful festive fare for our Christmas Party. A hotly contested Liz-Quiz with up-to-date questions tested our members and provided some winners with chocs and other prizes. Several members received award certificates for valiant service.
