2011 North Wales Radio Rally – Building On A Successful Return
24th North Wales Amateur Radio Show
Saturday & Sunday, 29th & 30st October 2011, 10am – 5pm both days
Following on from the successful 08,09 and 2010 rallies, we are pleased to confirm the above dates for the 2011 North Wales Radio Rally.
Once again the rally will be held at Llandudno’s new high school, Ysgol John Bright, Maesdu Road, Llandudno. LL30 1LF.

Directions:
From the A55, take the A470 into Llandudno, after approximately 3 miles at the end of the dual carriageway, turn left at The Links Hotel Roundabout. After 300yds go across the mini-roundabout and the venue is immediately on your right. A map showing the location can be found below.
From Llandudno Railway Station, turn right on exiting the station. Immediately as Augusta St bears left, turn right into Oxford Rd. Take the 1st right onto Builder St and then 2nd left into Cwm Rd. After 150 yds you will find John Bright School on your right. No more than 10 minutes walk at a leisurely pace.

Tables sold out super fast this year, In fact this took us by suprise, we are looking to address this for 2012. As us Amateurs are careful with our hard earned cash, we only turned those away with a reputation for being a touch pricey !! John Bright School is an ideal venue with ample parking, disabled facilities and both trading halls are on one level. Catering is supplied by the outsourced school caterers but is nothing like school dinners used to be! We receive many compliments on our Rally. Thanks to the hard work and support of the North Wales Radio Society members and friends for making the rallies a success.
This will be our fourth year at Ysgol John Bright School. The 2011 rally will be officially opened by the The Mayor of Llandudno and former NWRS Chairman, Cllr Greg Robbins GW7NAU. This year we have built on the success of previous rallies to bring a bigger and better event. We will be welcoming new traders as well as many familiar faces. We have a balanced mix, some selling new rigs and equipment, aerials, components, computer hardware, software and much more. There were also many items of vintage radio equipment and military kit. As usual, the RSGB will be in attendance along with local clubs selling surplus equipment. With our Bring & Buy stall having a reputation for being the best in the land, expect it to be extremely busy with bargains galore! The number of people attending in 2010 was significantly up on the previous year and we fully expect futher increases in 2011. Watch out for the raffles and many thanks to traders who have kindly donated prizes.
